DIGITAL DESIGNER
The Retail Digital Designer supports the Trade Marketing and Digital Design teams in creating and managing seasonal, weekly, and daily image assets for e-commerce, digital marketing, and social platforms. This role collaborates closely with Digital Design, Content, and Trade and Brand Marketing to ensure all creative deliverables meet global brand standards and tight deadlines across retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full PDP imagery pipeline—from asset intake to execution—ensuring consistency and alignment across global retailers (Sephora Global, Ulta, Macy's, Target, Amazon, QVC, etc.).
- Adapt and resize artwork, promotional graphics, and seasonal assets for global retail sites, applying brand systems and optimizing for mobile-first experiences.
- Concept, design, and implement creative overhauls for retail assets to elevate product storytelling, improve visual cohesion, and reflect current retail and design trends.
- Collaborate with content, brand, and marketing teams to ensure assets are accurate, timely, performance-driven, and aligned with merchandising strategy.
- Maintain and document global design specs and digital guidelines to ensure brand consistency across all customer-facing channels.
- Present creative solutions and project needs in weekly cross-functional meetings; implement feedback with clarity, speed, and brand accuracy.
- Build clean, scalable, and layer-organized PSDs with reusable design components to support a modular design system.
- Maintain organized digital libraries and Dropbox archives; label, version, and file assets systematically for accessibility and team efficiency.
- Champion process efficiency by identifying creative or production bottlenecks and proposing improved workflows and cross-functional handoff systems.
- Share trend-forward inspiration and conduct competitive analysis to support innovation in seasonal and evergreen content development.
- Use AI-powered tools (e.g., Adobe Firefly, Photoshop Generative Fill, ChatGPT) to streamline production, assist with ideation, and enhance visual execution.
Qualifications
- BFA/BA in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce, beauty, or digital design with a portfolio demonstrating retail-focused creative solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator); knowledge of After Effects, Figma, or XD is a plus.
- Experience with digital production workflows including color correction, product retouching, and image optimization.
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, responsive design principles and accessibility best practices.
- Detail-oriented and process-driven with excellent organizational habits and file management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic creative projects, deliver production-ready assets, and implement design system updates.
- Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities, evolving feedback and adapting design solutions quickly and positively.
- Proactive communicator with a passion for retail design, creative problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork.
- Eagerness to take initiative, work independently and balance multiple concurrent projects with strong time management and follow-through on tasks.
